Approved Prerequisite Courses

COVID-19 UPDATE: For the 2020-2021 admissions cycle, the Department of Speech-Language Pathology will accept a CR notation for prerequisite courses completed in the Winter 2020 term only (this includes Fall/Winter 2019-2020 year and Winter 2020 term courses). A CR notation for a Summer 2020 course will be accepted only if no other option was offered by the university where the course was taken. Since a CR notation is excluded from GPA calculations, we encourage you to choose a high grade over CR, especially if it affects your GPA positively.

IMPORTANT: The Department of Speech-Language Pathology is phasing out a number of courses that have been previously accepted towards as MHSc prerequisites. The final application cycle for which these particular courses may be used to satisfy prerequisites is the January 2020 application cycle (September 2020 entry). After this date, these courses will no longer be accepted towards the prerequisites. These courses are clearly marked with an asterisk (*) on the prerequisite charts below. Additionally, we do not accept CEGEP courses for prerequisites.

Please review the charts below to verify courses from your University:
