The Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) department is excited to announce that Dr. Monika Molnar, professor and principal investigator of the Bilingual and Multilingual Development Lab, has been awarded the 2025 Temerty Medicine Graduate Faculty Teaching Award for Early Career Excellence. This prestigious recognition highlights Dr. Molnar’s dedication to graduate education and her exceptional ability to mentor and inspire students, marking an important achievement for both her and the SLP department.
Dr. Molnar, whose research focuses on how bilingual and multilingual individuals in early childhood development acquire and process language, is known for her passion for teaching and her genuine commitment to helping students succeed. Her approach blends strong academic knowledge with real-world application, making her a standout educator in the field. Her students have consistently praised her for her ability to support them in ways that help them thrive both academically and professionally.
One MHSc student shared, “She is a mentor in the true sense and has the ability to support and guide students, enabling them to flourish.” This reflects Dr. Molnar’s skill in creating an environment where students feel encouraged and empowered to reach their full potential.
