Aanjana Piratheeparatnam and Cora Cushman

Cora Cushman & Aanjana Piratheeparatnam

Congratulations to second-year MHSc in Speech-Language Pathology students Aanjana Piratheeparatnam and Cora Cushman on receiving Student Leadership Awards from the University of Toronto!

Since joining the program in September 2023, Aanjana and Cora have both demonstrated exceptional leadership as the co-presidents of the 2025 graduating class. Through organizing outings, promoting volunteer opportunities and engaging their class in mental health and wellness initiatives, Aanjana and Cora are committed to improving their classmates’ learning experiences.

Beyond academics, Aanjana and Cora have made efforts to connect with each of their classmates through gestures like celebrating everyone’s birthdays, fostering a warm and welcoming class environment.

We applaud Aanjana and Cora’s leadership inside and outside of the classroom and know their leadership skills will serve them well in their future careers as Speech-Language Pathologists – profession all about communication and expression!
