Department of Speech-Language Pathology receives full accreditation

On March 16, 2023, following a review in the last week of November by two reviewers, the Department of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) received a full accreditation for a total of 7 years from the Council for Accreditation of Canadian Programs in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CACUP-ASLP). The report of the reviewers was very positive, acknowledging several innovations. One of the innovations that was introduced this year is a new course called Integrating Client, Practitioner and Research Knowledge in Practice that will run with several modules and activities throughout the 2-year curriculum led by a team of expert instructors. Overall, we are delighted with this recognition of the quality of our program and our ability to meet the high standards of our profession. We look forward to continuing with improvements to our program in the coming years as we stay ahead of an ever-changing landscape in SLP education and health care.
