Celebrating Lynn Ellwood’s Journey in Speech-Language Pathology

From her first introduction to the field in high school to a career dedicated to advancing clinical education and supporting students, Lynn’s path in speech-language pathology has been remarkable. After completing her MHSc in SLP at the University of Toronto in 1990, she went on to make a lasting impact in adult neurorehabilitation, international service initiatives, and as a faculty member at U of T.
Over her 20 years with the Department, Lynn helped shape student placements, developed innovative curriculum solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic, and championed international learning opportunities. Her leadership, mentorship, and passion for clinical education have left an enduring mark on the SLP community.
We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Lynn for her many contributions and years of dedicated service to the Department of Speech-Language Pathology. As she transitions into retirement, she looks forward to continuing her private practice and more time on the water, embracing her passion for sailing.
