A Fond Farewell to Antonietta Morra

Antonietta Morra

Story Adapted By: Jessica Boafo

After 34 years of dedicated service, Antonietta Morra has retired from her role as Department Secretary and Receptionist in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto.

Antonietta has been a cornerstone of the department since 1990, supporting faculty, students, alumni, and staff with warmth, reliability, and an unwavering willingness to help. Known affectionately as the department’s “yes person” and its “keystone,” Antonietta’s presence has left a lasting impact on everyone she’s worked with.

In a heartfelt reflection, Antonietta shares memories of her early days at the Old Church on College Street, her journey through three department locations, and the many friendships and milestones that have shaped her career. From watering office plants to welcoming generations of students, her story is one of quiet dedication and deep community spirit.

“Supporting the department has always been one of the most fulfilling and rewarding parts of my role,” she writes. “It’s been an incredible ride, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.”

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology gratefully acknowledges Antonietta’s decades of service and the integral role she has played in the life of the program. We wish her all the very best as she embarks on this exciting new chapter.
